Half-Day Private Tour (4hrs)
This fascinating tour starts from Fira Town (cruise ship port) or your hotel. You can stop and capture a picture against the backdrop of the Aegean Sea or admire the view of the famous volcano Nea Kameni.
The second stop is at Firostefani. Don’t miss the famous Blue Dom Church.
As we continue we will reach Imerovigli which is located on a high cliff. The name comes from the word “vigla” which means “observatory”. You should not miss the enormous rock called Skaros, the best place to look out for pirates.
Our next stop is the world-wide known Oia. Admire the whitewashed houses and wonder around the winding streets. You will be able to have some free time to shop for souvenirs or taste some of the local delicacies of the island.
Pyrgos the old capital is our next stop. You can walk along the narrow paths to the ruins of a Venetian Castle.
After a 5min drive we will find the Monastery of Prophet Elias which was founded in 1711. The Monastery was built on the highest point of the island, 567m above the sea level. Gaze upon the breathtaking view of the whole island while tasting the dessert wine, honey and extra virgin olive oil that’s made on site exclusively by the monks.
Our final destination is Kamari with the most amazing 5km long black volcanic sandy beach. The existence of the volcano on the island is obvious with the dark sand covering the beach and you will definitely adore the beach at Kamari. You will not believe the crystal clear waters and you will not resist to an amazing dive!
